Blocked Chakras = Depression

I once performed a crystal healing session on a friend who was in depression mode. It wasn't surprising that her chakras were fully blocked, but I was still taken aback when the pendulum that I was using to measure the chakra flows was at a standstill at each of the major chakra energy points. This means that there is no energy coming in or going out. There is no energy flowing within the aura as the chakras are not being energized by the life force. Whether there has been a gradual shut down or a sudden, it is up to the depressed individual to make that decision to heal. Luckily, my friend who I did a crystal healing on in her depressed state did find the motivation she needed within the healing realm and is today a great healer herself, with the ability to empathize with others who are in a situation she has overcome. -Sheila Satin

A friend of mine I had not seen in 2.5 years came to visit last weekend. He was admiring the new creations I had sprawled out on the living room table as we all chatted and swapped stories. He felt like he should start wearing some crystal healing jewelry, after hearing about their positive benefits for so long. Question: Sheila - I hope you don't mind a question on a crystal I recently bought. I found your site while doing online research. I recently when to Colorado on vacation and visited Glenwood Caverns in Glenwood Springs,Co. They had a gift shop that had all sorts of rocks and crystals. I ended up buying a huge Selenite Crystal that was in a tower form and had a regular light in the bottom of it.

It must be at least 12 to 14 inch tall and 4 to 6 inch think. It is really big and heavy. (15lbs or more) My question is that I would like to use it for programming and to assist in healing. Do I use it in the same manner as the wands that you talk about in your videos? I am just not sure how I would go about using it since I really can't easily "hold it to the various chakras".

I probably will go ahead and get a selenite wand from you as well, so I have a wand, but would be interested in your response. I also read that Selenite is the only crystal that can program quartz...is that correct?

I appreciate any assistance you might be able to give.


Selenite Chakra Wand

Answer: Hi, thank you for your email. To use your large Selenite stone for healing, you can clean, charge and program it the same way as other stones. Please keep in mind that Selenite will dissolve in water and in general is very fragile. As for healing, it will be hard to wield the cluster easily over yourself or others, so in this case we suggest you place your hands over it for meditation or to seal the aura. A wand will make it easier for portable crystal healing. For the cluster you can do visualizations instead of active healing over the chakras.

We have not heard that Selenite is the only crystal to program quartz. In fact, the term programming as we use it refers to your intentions focusing the energy of the crystal. In this way you can program all of your stones according to whichever energy you are seeking from it at the particular time.

It sounds like you need emotional balance. As you may know, the emotional center lies within our Solar Plexus chakra, which is a few inches above the navel. This is the area where we receive and process everyday occurrences. The way we react to these occurrences depends on how balanced the Solar Plexus chakra is. If this area is closed off, we may feel nothing, this often occurs in depressed people. If this area is blocked somehow, we will feel irrationally emotional, depending on the level of blockage. If this area if balanced, we will feel empathy within the situation, but we will not take it personally. Click here for a Chakra Tutorial.

Crystals for the Solar Plexus to balance the emotions include Moonstone, Tigers Eye and Calcite. Most yellow stones like Citrine, Aragonite and yellow Jasper correspond with balance for the Solar Plexus. Remember to clean, charge and program these crystals for emotional balance. It is a common myth that all ADHD children are hyperactive and bouncing off the walls. In fact, there are children who do have this excess energy, but there are also children who sit quietly with their attention miles away. I had a question about blue sapphire. Ever since I was say about 15 yrs old I've wanted to wear a blue sapphire ring but my mom but her foot down and din't let me. Some time in sep the urge if I may call it so swept me again and one thing led to another I got hold of a small (1 C) blue Sapphire oval and flat in shape. The moment I saw it I knew it was meant for me. I wore it for couple of days and it made me v efficient, de-cluttered my thoughts, just kept me in a happy state.. I wud even 4get I had stuck it to my body.

After testing some other stones I decided to pick it up. Something inside me told me that I should wear it in silver in my index or middle finger of my right hand. But then I thought y not get it in gold and may be throw in some diamonds as well.. Anyways as I was about to place the order for the ring to be set in gold with diamonds. I received a call from someone advising me not wear blue sapphire since it will do harm to my dad.

Now I don't understand Astrology but I know when a stone calls me. What r ur thoughts abt this funny fixation about sapphire? And diamonds!

As for your affinity for Sapphire, it is not uncommon. Most people have a strong attraction to a few select crystals. For example, I really love Lepidolite and Labradorite. Every time I see them, I think how I must have them! These crystals are vibrating at a wavelength we are lacking. It is like putting two puzzle pieces together. Blue Sapphire is filling an imbalance in your own aura, or energy field, and that is why you are always drawn to it like a magnet.

Stonehenge Rocks Confirmed

Archaeologists hope the find will enable them to discover how the stones were transported to Stonehenge.

Experts say they have confirmed for the first time the precise origin of some of the rocks at Stonehenge. It has long been suspected that rhyolites from the northern Preseli Hills helped build the monument.

Answer: Hi, thanks for writing :) I prefer to clean and charge my jewelry on a crystal cluster. If you don't have a cluster, the second way I prefer is to use dry brown rice. Of course, your preferences may differ, but these are the two I have found most effective for my jewelry. I would avoid the water method for jewelry.

Question: Hi do you know how to remove radiation from crystals that already absorb by it?

Answer: Hi, thank you for writing in. Depending on how much radiation your crystal has absorbed, I would leave it in salt water (if it is not water soluble), dry sea salt or buried in dirt for a relative amount of time. If you feel like the crystal is not cleaned of this energy after some time in these crystal cleaning methods, i would let it rest. Do not use it for healing, just bury it back into the earth, either in your potted plants or garden.

Copper Healing Wand

Spread a layer of ketchup over your copper (take care not to spread on the stones or other metal parts) or brass with a cloth or brush (old toothbrushes work great). Leave for 3-5 minutes depending on how tarnished your piece is. Then, rinse under warm water and wipe clean with a dry cloth.

Question: I have a big 10 pound milky quartz with incrustations of medium black tourmaline. When it arrived it seemed like a regular non-energetic stone, and I did all sort of things to activate or maybe revive it, I made custom (invented by me) rituals, surrounded by sacred things like statues of Buddha, my most special crystals, I bathed it with diamantine water, I fumed it with palosanto (do you use this incense up in north america? It's great to leave a burning palosanto on a stone to cleanse it and give it extra protection) and finally a few weeks ago I started feeling its vibe, and could start using it for charging other stones, which Im very glad of, but what came into my mind is what should I do to keep it full of energy and clean (I usually don't program stones, I prefer them to manifest as they are)... should I put it in a big bucket with salt and leave it night round for moon light to reach it? should I leave it under the sun for charging it? Or do clusters this big maintain them selves active without external care? Since its such a big stone, I'm not very sure which would be the best way to go, and I´d be very grateful for your advice.

Answer: Clusters are usually energetically self-cleaning if they are many points growing from one base. The points are constantly circulating renewed energy. However, it sounds like you have a large rock-like cluster with no individual points. In this case, it is not circulating energy as fast, it is storing it more, and you will want to clean out its energy once in a while and more if you are doing active crystal healing rituals with the stone. You will want to use either your incense or salt or whatever other method you prefer to clean the Quartz. Healers have found that placing their stones in the moonlight helps with intuitive and psychic energies while placing their stones in the sunlight helps active it with more physical healing energies. Of course, you can leave the stones throughout the daily cycles for a balance of these energies as well.

Yes, we do have palosanto here, but it is not as common to use as sage incense is.

Answer: This depends on how you program it. Basically all crystals are vibrating at a certain positive energy because of the uniform way they are formed. QUESTION: Dear Lisa and Sheila, I'd like to comment this with you:I've been wearing a small apache tear stone taped to my belly button since early morning (6 am, now its 4:05 pm), and I felt like I had to take it of. For sheer curiosity I looked at it to check if it had gone more translucid. To my amazement, I saw a purplish blue hue in the stone, instead of the original smoky-honey brown hue. Have you heard of this before?

ANSWER: Hi, thank you for your email. Yes, we have often heard of crystals sacrificing their energy/color to those in need. We often hear of the Rainbow Obsidian rings getting brighter the more unwanted energies that they absorb. We have also heard of Bloodstone losing its red inclusions to those who have circulatory problems. Yours is not a new phenomena, but definitely, an interesting case which you will want to explore further! If you feel okay with the Apache stones, I would continue to use them. If you don't feel right, then I would give it a break or counteract it with some other energies as your aura may not be ready for the energies that the Apache stones are bringing up..

Apache Tear Obsidian

Question: Hello Sheila, I've recently bought a pack of 20 apache tear smal tumbled stones. Well, I have 2 questions for a matter. 1st, I was tottaly lost when i got hold of the apache tears, usually, when I get hold of a new gemstone I figure out its essence, qualities, "spirit" or "personality", and how they "fit in me" i.e. how should I treat and use and regard them, but with the apache tears I got totally clueless... Is there a link you can give me to know more about this gemstone (I´ve read it's nearly the best for grief realiving and healing)?
